The Flaxans are a species of interdimensional aliens hell-bent on the invasion of Earth. In the dimension where they come from, time moves quicker than usual.

The Flaxans try invading Earth, much to their failure due to the presence of Omni-Man and Invincible. They quickly flee back to their home dimension after realizing how time works on the planet and out of fear of Nolan. The Flaxans would presumably spend years figuring out a way to apprehend Omni-Man eventually finding a way to ambush him, taking hold of capture him in the middle of conversation.
