Your not Invincible, you know.

B.N. Winslow unintentionally creating Mark's superhero name in, Invincible Issue #1

B.N. Winslow is the current dean of Upstate University, and the former principal of Reginald Vel Johnson High School when student Mark Grayson gained his super powers and became the hero Invincible. He is a minor character in Invincible.

Winslow has devoted his life to public education, first as an English teacher and then as a principal. The students of RVJ High generally regard Winslow as a fair and compassionate principal.

History[]

Family Matters[]

After student Mark Grayson defended his locker neighbour from a bully, he was sent to Winslow's office. Winslow commended him, but warned him that he wasn't "invincible" or anything. Unbeknownst to him, Mark had recently developed superpowers, and at that moment chose the superhero name Invincible.

During his tenure as principal at RVJ, the school's deranged physics teacher David Hiles was kidnapping popular students and turning them into living bombs. Winslow's steady leadership and open communication style helped the students and families of the school cope with the fear and uncertainty caused by the kidnappings and murders.

Head of The Class[]

Winslow announced that he was stepping down as school principal at Mark Grayson's graduation. The next school year Winslow took a job as Dean of Upstate University, where Mark and William attended college.
